No, it's not acceptable in any way whatsoever.

I am not racist by any means but, if different religions wish to teach their kids THEIR way, that's fine. They should set up schools for kids of their own faith. This could be regarded as segregation, but it would seem that they are the ones doing the segregating.

Unfortunately, teaching their kids that way will do them no good in the long term because they're not being taught the conventional way, so they'll end up wearing dunce caps in that subject, and will be made fools of in the workplace. I've never been any good at sums, but there again, I've been in jobs for 55 years where I haven't needed it.

It would't go down well at my skool, the Nuns teeched us that only Catholics go to heaven, the prody dogs only get as far as Purgatory or Limbo if they are good and their Hell is deeper and hotter than ours,

20 years ago I was working in a skool in Rochdale, the kids were mostly Asian, Well when I say mostly, I'm talking 98% Asian and in the classrooms where pictures and statues of Alli with Plaquars saying " Alli is the God and Mohamid is his helper, I asked one of the teechers, Where are the statues of Jesus and paintings of Joseph and Mary ? She replied, " We are a multicultural skool and teech the children of all religions, So I argued that, we are in England and its a Christian country So there should be some christian religion taught, I got a phone call from the main contractor that night and was asked to do work on another job ....

Well, if they were teaching them Spanish - with an Islamic 'theme' to it - then no, it wouldn't be acceptable.

Some scary old man dressed in black told me this story about a bloke who supposedly lived about 2000 years ago. Seems the Romans nailed him to a cross, he died. They sealed him up in a cave and three days later he came back to life…… how crazy is that?

There was some other mumbo jumbo about some bloke who built this big wooden boat, then crammed a load of wild animals in it when it started raining.

Good job we have moved on and they don’t tell our kids these fairy stories today.

Why do you get so upset if any of the Council Tax Payers say anything about the decisions of the Council or say anything about people of the Islamic Faith

Posters might think you are one of those at the Council making the decisions and also one who after making the decisions, goes home and gets down on a mat to pray!

If it's acceptable for Roman Catholics to teach their children about their religion in a Roman Catholic school, and Jews to reach their children about their religion in a Jewish school, then surely it's also acceptable for Muslims to teach their children about Islam in a Muslim school.

If it was up to me - religion would be kept out of all schools and dealt with at home by the parents. If not then I'd have ALL schools educate childeren about ALL mainstream religions.

I don’t get upset about any comments relating to the council or Muslims in the slightest. I am far too sensible and level headed for that sort of thing, besides which it would appear there are already enough people in here allowing themselves to be wound up by Muslims and the council….and I include you on that list.

Curious to know you think one would have to be a Muslim or a council employee to comment on or counter some of the ridiculous, xenophobic cynical and narrow minded comments and claims I read in here though.

Any chance of an answer from you?….. a direct and sensible one? Or am I being wildly optimistic?
